My journey into dog grooming began with a lifelong adoration for animals. In 2022, I turned that passion into a profession by earning my City & Guilds Dog Grooming Diploma and my Dog First Aid certification.
For me, grooming is more than just a job, it’s a commitment. After losing my first dog, Barney, to cancer at just seven years old, my heart was broken, but my purpose was found. I realized then that my life would never be complete without dogs, and I made it my mission to care for every pet with the same devotion and love I gave to him.

The Puppy Introduction Package
Building Confidence, One Paw at a Time
To ensure your puppy grows up loving the salon rather than fearing it, we offer a specialized 5-Stage Introduction Program. By slowly desensitizing your pup to new sights, sounds, and smells, we build the trust needed for a happy grooming journey.
Note: Puppies can begin their journey at 12 weeks old, provided they are fully vaccinated.
The 5-Step Journey
Session 1: The Meet & Greet
Socialization and play! We’ll introduce tools, offer treats (dietary-friendly), and perform a gentle brush and nail filing.
Session 2: Getting Comfortable
Further socialization with an introduction to light hygiene trimming and more coat brushing.
Session 3: Splash & Prep
Introduction to the bath and dryer. We’ll perform a tidy-up of the feet, face, and hygiene areas.
Session 4: The Full Refresh
A complete bath and blow-dry to get them comfortable with the full salon routine.
Session 5: The Big Milestone
The final step: Your puppy’s first full "big boy/girl" haircut!

The perfect "in-between" service for longer-haired breeds. Regular maintenance helps keep your dog’s coat healthy, fluffy, and—most importantly—free from matts and tangles between full grooms.
Pricing: £15 less than your dog's standard full grooming rate.

Confidentiality & Communication
All client data is strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third party. Please inform us of any changes to your personal details or your pet's health and temperament. This ensures we can continue to provide a service tailored specifically to your pet's needs.
Health and Welfare
Your pet’s health and welfare are our primary concerns while they are in our care. Pets will only be groomed according to their tolerance of the process. If a pet becomes fearful of a specific procedure, a workaround or alternative will be employed.
Occasionally, a pre-existing condition may be discovered during grooming. We will notify you immediately so you can seek veterinary advice. While accidents are extremely unlikely, they can happen. In the event of a serious medical issue or accident, you authorize us to seek emergency veterinary treatment and agree to settle any associated costs.
Grooming Feedback
Feedback is provided after every session. If you have queries or require clarification, please ask at collection or contact us later. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the groom, please let us know before you leave the salon. Reasonable requests for alterations will be dealt with immediately or noted for the future. We are happy to advise on at-home coat care and disclose any details regarding your pet's session.
Independent Stylists (Rent-a-Table)
Please be aware that Pawprint Hearts hosts independent, self-employed stylists who operate under their own brand names. If your appointment is booked with an independent contractor, your service contract is directly with that individual. Independent stylists maintain their own professional indemnity insurance and are solely responsible for their grooming results and the handling of your pet.
Pricing
Starting prices apply to pets that:
Are groomed professionally on a regular schedule (every 4–12 weeks depending on coat type).
Are well-maintained between appointments (kept tangle, knot, and mat-free by regular brushing).
Additional charges will apply for:
Matted, poorly maintained, or overgrown coats.
Pets that are difficult to manage or uncooperative.
Overweight pets or those significantly oversized for their breed standard.
Timid, anxious, or nervous pets requiring frequent breaks and specialized handling.
These factors require additional time, labor, and products; therefore, the costs are passed on to the owner. If a groom cannot be completed due to aggression or behavioral issues, the full quoted price remains payable. All costs must be paid in full at the time of collection.
Timekeeping & Collection
We work strictly by appointment. A "no-show" results in lost income for the stylist.
Punctuality: Please arrive on time.
Late Collection: If you are more than 15 minutes late to collect your pet, a late collection fee of £10 per 15-minute increment will be applied to your final bill.
Reminders: We offer free text or email reminders; please notify us of your preference.
Cancellations & No-Shows
We respectfully require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations so the slot may be filled.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will incur a fee of 100% of the groom price.
New Bookings: A non-refundable deposit (equal to the starting price of the groom) will be required to secure any future appointments.
All outstanding fees must be cleared before a new appointment can be booked.
Neglected and Matted Coats
In the event a coat must be clipped down due to matting or neglect, Pawprint Hearts, its owner, and operators are not liable for any post-grooming effects. This process is not without risk.
Any humane de-matting is undertaken solely at our discretion, in compliance with The Animal Welfare Act 2006, which protects animals from pain and suffering. De-matting is limited to a maximum of 15 minutes for minimal tangles. For severely matted coats, a complete clip-off is the only humane solution.
We will not be held responsible for:
Pre-existing or new skin conditions revealed or caused by clipping short.
Minor nicks or cuts resulting from the removal of tight matting.
Haematomas or bleeding of the ear tips caused by the release of pressure from heavy ear matting.
Dematting and the removal of matted coats will incur an additional charge on top of the standard grooming fee.
Parasites
Fleas: If fleas are found during the grooming process, an additional £50 will be charged to cover the cost of salon fumigation and deep cleaning.
Ticks: Tick removal is charged at £5 per tick.
